Question about 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD
My radiator cracked about a week ago and the truck over heated. Fixed that and now the transmission is slipping it only has 1st and reverse not making any noises no visible problems changed the fluid and filter and that did nothing is there a sensor or somthing that could be causing this or is the tranny shot
Your transmission runs through part of the radiator. Check your fluid level and see if your hoses are conneced right.

If you removed the radiator, the transmission cooler lines on the bottom would be the first place to check. Wouldn't take much to get a kink in the line, and a possible cause for your shifting problems. Best of luck to you.
