EFI fuse blowing in 93 toyota 4runner

My 93 toyota 4runer just started going through fuses at an alarming rate. The 15amp fuses burns out before I can even try and start the truck. What are your thoughts. Im afraid Im going to have to pay 115 bucks an hour to fix it if you got nothing...

I have the same issue with a 1993 extended cab 4x4 pickup. Is it the same system? I checked the wire harness at the tank with a ohm meter and it shows no short?

I would check the fuel pump relay under the dash in the passenger side and check the efi relay first. After that i would follow the wires to the fuel pump and the engine harness for any shorts.

Which fuse is it blowing out? There are a number of different 15amp fuses.
But any time you're blowing fuses that's a sign of a dead short in that item; this is where knowing which fuse it's for will show where to look for the problem

1991 toyota 4runner efi fuse keeps blowing

Correct pump for the truck?
A blown fuse means there is too much current draw from the pump.
Why is the tough question.Pinched wire?
If the fuse does not blow, immediately, can you measure the current draw at the pump in put wire?

Be SURE to cycle the key on for 5 seconds, off for 2 and back on for 5 seconds 3 times! Prime the pump.
If not primed, properly the new pump may burn out.
Sorry.

That fuse powers the engine computer and various sensors.
You may need a repair book or shop manual to get the wiring diagrams for checking everything in the circuit.

Engine wont start, efi 15amp fuse keeps blowing

EFI (electronic fuel injection) is a nasty fuse to blow. Unplug EFI module for 5 minutes. Plug it back in and try to start it immediately to confirm a heating short or possible bad module.

It will not run without that fuse intact. There is a short in the circuit that must be fixed .
