Question about 1997 Toyota Camry
My husband just relpaced the engine in a 86 toyta pick up. The engine runs fine when in park but as soon as he puts it into gear it shakes and stalls. If he disconnects 1 vacum line it runs ok. What can he do to trouble shoot and find the problem? He's spent several hours on it and the manual does not have clear details as to the timing schematics and vacum lines. any help would be appreciated. Thank you
2 things come to mind.
1. I don't know from your description which engine it has but it may be that the distributor or vacuum advance is malfunctioning or blocked.
2. Timing is a few degrees off.
Hope this helps
