Question about 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The power controls are not working on the front driver's side door. Passenger side door lock control will lock all 4 doors, but none of the windows will roll down now from any of the controls. I've seen suggestions of wiring needing to be checked in the between the door and main frame of the body. How can I do this? When I take the panel off, that area is mostly encased in the metal of the door. First I need to know how to check the wiring. Second, any other suggestions on what might be causing all power switches to quit working, except the passenger side door lock? Thanks.
There is a rubber boot between door and body, peel it back from each end and will expose wiring..try pulling on each wire and you will more than likely find 1 or more broken wires..happens because driver's door is used the most..have seen this on these vehicles..wiring can be repaired
