98 chevy sub. k2500 to accelerate poorly

Likely a clogged fuel filter or defective fuel pump. Confirm correct fuel pressure with a gauge. If the pressure is low, remove the fuel filter and check for obstruction. If it's hard to blow through it, replace it with a new filter. Then retest the fuel pressure. If pressure is still low, then it's likely that you have a defective fuel pump.

I am trying to find the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump relay on a 88 Chevy S-10 pickup 2.5L.

Have you tried checking with autozone? They can tell you where it is from their computer. I have a 99 k2500 and my fuel pressure regulator is located under my intake manifold, my fuel pump relay is under the hood on the drivers side over the wheel well. I Take It you are having problems starting your truck. Can You hear your fuel pump when you turn the key? Have you checked to see how much fuel pressure you have ?

K2500 chevy 3/4 ton pick up. no power under load

IN your distributer under the rotor is a magnet and a pickup coil (the magnet is known as a pole piece) check your pickup coil for corrsion (green in color) and the module and also check pole piece for cracks in the magnet where the rivets hold it together. sometimes oil wicks up around the distributer shaft because of housing wear or the pieces just wear out over time.

My 1996 Gmc K2500 with a 7.4l is miss firing. runs good till it warms up, then the problem starts. I have no codes in the computer. new fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter

Very good chance that it's bad fuel injectors and/or fuel pressure regulator. Very common with the 96-2000 L29 motor (Vortec 7.4L)
Replace with better injectors, the OEM ones are NOT WORTH cleaning. Go to

99 suburban missing only at idle

Have you checked the fuel pressure? You may have a sticking fuel regulator, causing too much fuel at idle. Since it works fine off idle and cruise I would look there.

Replacing the fuel filter on 1994 Chevy k2500

The fuel filter is located on the left (drivers side) frame rail.It will either have two flare nut fittings,or a flare nut on one side and quick disconnect fitting on the other. With the engine off and key out of the ignition switch, remove the fuel cap to relieve any pressure in the fuel system.Use a couple of wrenches to remove the flare nuts or use your fingers to depress the little white tabs on the quick disconnect flange. You will lose a little fuel,so have a container such as a oil drain pan to catch the fuel. After the new filter is installed, put the key into the ignition and turn to the on position without starting the engine. You should hear the fuel pump pressurize the fuel system.Perform this step at least twice, then start the engine and check for leaks. Good luck.
