What is the easyest way to remove the power steering pump on a 95 pontiac bonneville

series 2 3800 i presume? you have to remove the alternator and the belt tensioner, use extreme caution with the tensioner, make sure engine is cool, look for a plastic elbow that is on the right side of the tensioner assembly, they break very easily and you have to get the whole tensioner assembly if you break that pipe. once you have the tensioner out there is only 2 bolts on the right side of the power steering pump holding it in. it will come out through the top.

How do i remove the oil pan from a 96 buick regal 3800 series?

I was told it's about a 3 hour job to change the oil pan gasket (on a '95 Regal w/3800 ). It says you must disconnect the power steering lines (because they run along the frame by the oil pan and get in the way), drop the subframe, and raise the engine to get the oil pan off. good-day ! thats GM for ya!! lol, The frame is in your way and the only way to get it out is to move the frame.

I want buy motor overhall

There are two different engine sizes at Pontiac Transport. You can find it reading the 8th digit of the Vehicle Identification Number. This is the engine code.
6-231 (3.8L, VIN "L")
6-191 (3.1L, VIN "D")
To buy the motor go to the Internet @:
http://www.car-part.com/
Select the Year, Make, and Model of your car.
1993, Pontiac, Transport.
Select Engine. Select the size of Engine.
I found some engines, Engine Size 3.8L, for $750.

1993 3800 engine Pontiac Bonneville car has 88000 miles.Locked up and can not turn it with wrench. What would most likely be the problem? No antifreeze in the oil.

It could be a lot of things, but remove the drive belt to check all the pulleys to see if they turn freely. If so,then If then engine still will not turn,by hand ,then remove the timing cover and check the timing chain and gears,if it is not in there then the engine will have an enternal problem.

How to install transmission solenoid in a 2001 pontiac bonneville 2.8

The solenoids are under the side pan on the transmission on the drivers side. You will have to go through the drivers side fender well. Remove the wheel, brake caliper, spindle, take the rack and pinion loose, install engine support, place jack under left side (drivers side) of subframe, remove subframe mounting bolts, loosen (do not remove) right side subframe mounting bolts, lower left side of subframe 4 to 6 inchs, go to engine support and lower engine and transmission down just enough so that transmission side pan can be removed. Thanks and good luck with your repairs.

How do i drop the engine in the 1995 buick skylark

the easyest way is to remove the engine and transmission together. leave them bolted to the subframe and disconnect everything off the engine and lower the subframe.
Or you can seperate the trans away from the engine, hold the trans up (GM makes a support bar) and pull the engine up out of the compartment. Have fun!
