Question about 1998 Ford Taurus
Trying to replace window motor in a 1998 ford taurus not sure how to get to the motor.
Start by disconnecting your negative battery cable. Then you need to locate and remove the screws that hold your interior door handles in place (they may be hidden by snap in, or snap on clips). Once you remove the screws that hold the door handles, remove any wire connectors to the handles. The door panel itself, is held on by snap in clips, and you will need a small pry bar to pull them from the door (try to get as close to, or directly under the clips to prevent them from tearing out of the door panel). Once the clips are removed from the door, pull the panel upward to remove it from the door. Once you gain access to the interior of the door, you will need to remove the motor and regulator as a single unit. Once you have removed the regulator you will be able to replace the motor.
Install in reverse.
I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair
