Did you check for an inline fuse in the power wire to the unit itself rather than a fuse in the car's fusebox?

The only other cause would be a wire/cable break which you could text for using an auto (12v) non contact live wire tester. Can get these cheap on eBay fromn China direct.

I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. My stereo intermittently goes out and now I can't lock my car - are these two things related and could it be a fuse?

Very Possible it is your fuse, the only thing that makes me think otherwise is that your problem is intermittent. When a fuse blows, things stop working they do not work intermittently. If you recently installed a stereo, check the harness for crossed connections or exposed wiring that may be causing a short. When you blow the fuse for the stereo it usually takes out many of the interior electronic accessories such as Interior dash lights, electronics door locks, dome lamps, etc. Check the fuse box likely under the dash, if not in a corner of the engine compartment under the hood and find the diagram for the fuse lay out. Check the fuse for the stereo or interior accessories or for the door locks. problem could be with the wiring for either.

Hi Oscar. You've more than likely just blown a fuse. Look in your owners manual or fuse box cover for which fuse is for the dome light. It may be listed as curtesy lamps, interior lamps, map light or something along those lines. Good luck.

However, decing to fix fuses may require tools like test kits to ascertain the number of malfunctioning bulbs. Also, a blown fuse usually is indication of power compromise either where exposed wires touch causing break in fuse bulbs. The entire electrical system of the vehicle should be examined for exposed wires from the battery wirings through to the stereo systems source wires. Those are the areas that usually encounter fuse conditions regularly. contact a electrical technitian the automechanics.

you might need to look at the wires on the back of the radio, there might be an inline fuse, also you best have a look at the main fuse panel in the car and see if the one for the radio and clock has blown

2006 Hyundia Elentra Stereo and key door opener not working

There is more than one fuse to check. There is also a fuse panel under the hood near the car's battery. Check all fuses. Most cases this fuse can be labeled "Back Up".
