Question about 2000 Ford Taurus
I am trying to find out where the Heat Sensor is located in my Ford Tauros 2000. I have changed the Thermostat already and it still continues to overheat. Thanks.
The thermostat only controls water flow and the switch that should turn the fan on is normally located on the bottom tank of the radiator.
It will have one or two leads running to it.
Using a meter to check its operation would be best but you could just buy a new one and install it. Be careful not to allow coolant to run onto the ground since animals like to drink the stuff and it is toxic.
