Question about 1995 Jaguar XJ6
The car is a 1995 Jaguar XJ Sport 4L, automatic. The main problem with the car is that it cuts out any time there does not appear to be a pattern to the cutting out. If it is left for 10mins or so it wil re-start but runs roughly. I have tried changing plugs, fuel filter, checked the injectors, changed the water temperature sensor. It has been on a diagnostic machine and no problems have been found.
Sometimes when you try to start it there is no turn over or anything it is just dead, then if that is left for a few hours it then starts perfectly. The battery has been checked and there are no problems.
Any help would be greatly appeciated.
Have you pulled all your relays under hood in relay box & cleaned & inspected all contacts on them? Pay special attention to any ones that may look rusty at terminals or around edges on bottom side.
