Locating the high-pressure common rail socket?

I'm trying to locate the common rail socket, is it the plug next to the battery or is it under the engine cover? (If so cn any let me know where abouts)

I'm assuming you mean the Schraeder Valve on the V8 as the TD5 doesn't have a socket for the fuel rail.
The valve is located on the back right hand side of the engine.

WHY DOES MY ISUZU 4HL1 ENGINE HAVE A HARD START ALWAYS?


no car stated, huge NPR truck no less.
no year stated
so no free book information on that engine,.
big diesel. 4HL1, no dash letter?
compression at spec.?
glow plugs work.,
filters clean. water in fuel,
does test fuel (spray'd) help? ???
injection problems
lack of startup air.(filter)

When oil is cold, pressure will read high, but as it warms up pressure indicator should drop to normal. Are you using the correct weight oil for your weather conditions? Running straight 30 weight, or say 20w50 could cause this issue.

What is it rail oil pressure


The common rail is a pipe - rail - that supplies diesel fuel under high pressure to the injectors, which are activated by the on board computer.
The rail pressure is supplied by an oil pump separate from the pump that supplies oil to the moving parts of the engine. Rail oil pressure is that pressure that pressurises the fuel.

Where is fuel rail pressure sensor high input located on a mercury mountaineer


If you are talking about a trouble code for the pressure sensor, the sensor may be telling the computer the fuel pressure is too high. The sensor is mounted in the fuel rail on the engine.

Engine cuts out under load & glow plug light flashes


Lack in fuel pressure picked up by fuel rail pressure sensor hence flashing glow plug light, there is more than one pump on this vehicle so a fuel pressure test is required to pin point, it could even be the FRPS itself. Quite a popular fault on common rail diesels.

Rail pressure valve where are they on trooper


Its on the back of the high pressure oil pump . Under the inlet manifold at the front of the engine just up and in from the diesel lift pump.
Has a wire going to it.

The other part of the system is under the cam cover its the one with 3 wire plug and thats the rail oil pressure sensor .

I cant find the location of diagnostic socket of Isuzu 4jx1


The ODB socket is just under the plastic trim that goes over the gearlever cover by your right foot , no tools needed to get it out .
The 4JX1 is a HUEI type engine so the diesel is not under high pressure until injected .
To prove if the fuel is starved put fuel in a can and pipe it into the hand primer pump direct .
Most likely cause is the Rail Oil Presure Sensor as this controls the amount of fuel injected via the ECU .
