Installed new 8.1 engine, ran for 2 minutes, quit. Have no spark, looks like the security system is what is not letting spark get thro. the ignition system is dead, the OBDII port is not responding says "No Link". Have checked all fuses, all connections, cannot find a reason except for possibility of the security system. How do you reset the original security system?
I'm not sure why changing the engine would cause problems with the security system unless you got grease or oil on the contacts on the ignition key along the way. Clean the metal strips in the center of the black insert on the key with soap and water; rinse and dry thoroughly. Next, cut a strip of stiff, heavy paper to the same width as the part of the key that has the security insert. Soak the paper with isopropyl alcohol or electrical contact cleaner, then slide it in and out of the ignition lock several times to clean off the contacts. Don't slide it in so far that it removes lubricant from the lock pins (that's why I didn't suggest spraying contact cleaner into the lock).
If the Obd says No Link you have a power issue.

OK im assuming that the engine cranks but doesnt really start. And you tested the coil and actually seeing the spark from each spark plug wire. then my next guess is fuel flow.....you need motion (starter) you need fuel (gasoline) and lastly you need a hot spark (coil that produces a good blue or white spark..not a weak red on) If fuel is missing i would suspect a fuel pump relay (usually located somewhere in the rear of the car - the owners manual will tell you where it is in most cars) that needs to be reset. if you STILL have no fuel...check the fuse... if STILL no fuel i would suspect the fuel pump itself. The filter would NOT be the problem as it would cause engine problem to gradually get worse not just go from running to dead. i hope this helps you with this problem good luck!

Could be the coil pack should be read in ohms about 7 to be good
