Thanks - ended up being the ground (Black) lead to the fan connector - it was not grounded. After I did the simple test of putting 12 volts and ground to fan and it worked, I tested outout from switch and got different voltages, etc etc thanks again saved me some dollars

I believe you must be talking about the inside blower fan tht is not coming 'on'.
It could be the switch tht operates the fan, remove the switch and check for live wire if theres current over there, if theres current thn operate the switch and check other ports for continuity of the current flow.
Its better first though to check the fan itself, it could be faulty or jammed or the brushes wornout.Remove the fan and you can test it out with the help of the car battery and two pieces of wire one to + and the to - , if the fan works thn you will have to proceed further as mentioned above.
Hope this helps.

The fan will not kick on...on my 2006 Trailblazer. Fuses look good along with the relays. The compressor seems to be working fine. Can't get air to flow through the vents.

The list of things that could be bad; blower motor, blower motor resistor pack (control module), resistor pack wire harness, fan selector switch and fuses. You say the fuses and relays look good, what does that mean? And which fuses did you check? Fuse for blower is in the underhood fuse panel and is #35.The relay is inside the control module, so you can not see it.

I have a 1999 toyota and my mg clt relay switch is not under the hood like you mention. I was told it is behin my glove box, however, I cannot find it, can you help?

relay should be under hood in a black relay box. if ac light is not coming on then the ac fuse could be blown and it is usually in right kick panel or behind glove box also check left side fuse block behind the cover next to steering wheel that pulls out and at left kick panel

I have a 1999 pathfinder, the blower for the heat/ ac does not work. Is it the blower amp?

More than likely it is the blower relay under the dash on the passenger side. Sometimes you can whack the dash next to the glove box and the fan will come on. If this is the case, then it is the relay.

A/c fan not working

A/C fuses are 9 and 20 located in the glove box. If the auxilary fan is not coming on that will affect ac as well the fuses for that are 7, 22 (in glove box) and fuse 76 which is behind glove box. Does the compressor come on at all? Does the ac switch light come on?

sounds like it might be a blend door motor, It is located on the drivers side up under the dash on the side of the heater box, try looking at it while turning the knobs on the dash and see if it is changing positions, if not than the blend door motor might be the problem
