Question about 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier
You need to provide more information than that. Like what kind of vehicle, forien or domestic, year, etc. I will attempt to give you an answer. Most vehicles will do this that have a factory theft system when certan thing has happened to the vehicle. Like having the battery disconnected, or even hitting a large bump in the road. Try rolling down the driver's door window and locking the door then closing it. Next unlock the door with the key. This will usually reset the anti theft device. Good luck, let me know if this works.
