Question about 1995 Honda Civic del sol

Rear brake lights do not work.

Rear brake lights do not light when brake peddle is depressed. The rear top brake light works. There is also a "Brake" light on the dash above dials when the engine is started that stays on. I've checked bulbs and fuses under the dash.

Might b your emergency brake sticking/cable or there's a switch under brake pedal that's my guess. Real easy to remove 1 screw I believe or its a switch that screws out. First need to disconnect positive terminal on battery next unplug switch from wiring cable from switch under brake peddle screw out and replace. They don't give u much room under there but can n change in 10-15 mins. Hope this helps if so please let me know.

The brake light that is on the dash is for the emergency brake...When that light is on that is supposed to tell you that the emergency brake is applied if the brake is not applied then you need to service the emergency brake. And on the brake pedal there is a coupler that is hooked up to the pedal bracket that wire may be soft set try gently snapping it into place.

My 06 kia Sorento ex . instrument panel lights up when I step on the brake paddle. It does this when the engine is off and lights to . So what's going on with that and with causing the problem

Either a brake light bulb has bridged to a running light circuit or someone has put a bulb in off index.
Check rear light with brake peddle depressed and you will see which side is causing problem.

All light bulbs and fuses are good, but when I hit the brake peddle the lights will not come on. My brake light on the top of the hatch back does come on when I hit the brake. the 3 rear lights on both...

The lower lights are on a separate fuse by law, that is why the hi mount works. Check for wiring issues to the rear brake lights wiring harness, buy a factory wiring diagram.

My brake lights dont work and i am trying to find the fuse box

The fuse block that contains the brake light relay is under the left side of the rear seat. There is also
a fuse block under the right side of the rear seat. Another behind the dash under the steering column. And one more under the hood right front corner of the engine compartment. If the relay is
good, check the brake light switch for constant 12v in and 12v out when peddle is pushed.
The brake light switch is under the dash at the top of the brake peddle. Hope this helps.

2007 chevy silverado brake lights dont work but the one above bed and blinkers and tail lights do work

I had the same problem! I used a piece of wood to keep the break pedal depressed and then started to remove one of the break lamps and to my surprise it came on! Same thing on the other side. So I did not seat (bottom out) the lamps in their sockets and both break light are now working properly. I had a similar issue last spring but that time only one light was out. I put in a new bulb and it still did not work so I messed around with it a little more and it started working. Never did figure it out until now. Hope this helps!

No rear main brake lights.

It may be the brake switch, on most vehicles the brake switch is located under the dash at the brake pedal lever, A plunger type switch when brake pedal is depressed plunger extends compleating circuit , may just need adjustment. peace S.R.
