Question about 2003 GMC Sierra 1500
There was a clipping sound in the speakers everytime i started it...now the speakers carry no sound at all..i cant even turn the radio on. It looks as tho the cd changer is still on showing 6 cd's.
Where is the fuse box...and would this be a radio fuse or speaker fuse....or a short?

first what you want to do is locate the water pump. then release then tension off the belt that it is connected to. there should be 2 or 3 bolts and undo them and pull it out. then replace with the new one.

first> road vibrations can cause cable connections to come loose so you can start by taking out your radio and making sure all of the questions in the back are connected as they should be.
Second> if this doesnt seem to work then the next step is to check the wires going to the speakers that arnt working (this will b quite a job, but if you can do it, it will save u quite a bit of money) .. checking the wires your checking for >bad connection to the speakers >cuts in the wire or if any part of the wire is touchin any other metal object

not sure which radio you have but there is an amplifier under the back seat and there are some fuses there you may want to check your owners manual for fuse information

set it to radio or put in a cd and put it on cd mode and try playing if there is no sound then check radio fuse in the fuse box to see if th eamp fuse is blown.
