Question about 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe
I have shut the tailgate and the rear glass but the rear access indicator on the display still stays on. Which in turn keeps all my lights on in the truck evan after i lock the doors.
I don't know if this will work, but at least it is worth a try. Spray some WD40 liberally over and into both tailgate latches. Try to get up inside using the straw extension. Open and close multiple times to work it in. I suspect there is an internal latch switch, which controls the display, that might be dirty, corroded, or just not working. Of course other causes are possible. I hope it works.
