Should be on the firewall...can't remember which side but I think its on driver side It's ceramic rectangle with four wires. (I had one and just can't picture where exactly it was.) One tip though, when you put it back on, use some high temp silicone around top and side edges, leave bottom open. They usually fail from water dripping down and cracking resistor (gets hot).

On my 88 Chrysler fifth ave when you go to start it, it don't do anything no dash lights nothing? The battery's charged and interior lights come on

Suspect a problem in the ignition switch circuit. Usually caused by a missing power source. Check fusible links at starter motor for any broken/melted links. Also, make sure battery cable connections are tight and clean

#1 spark plug wire for 83 Chrysler 5th ave 318

On a 318 #1 is at 6:00 o'clock on the distributor when you are looking at it from the front of the car. It turns clockwise and the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Odd cylinders are on the driver's side starting from the rad and even on the passenger's. Hope this helps.

take your alternator off and have your local auto zone or advance test it!! Sounds like it is forcing through the regulator and over loading the battery

The batery is geting 18volts of charge

First of all make sure your battery is in good condition, and then get a voltmeter attached to battery, before start & after to confirm what your inside gauge is telling you is correct. Check and clean all connections to & from battery. Otherwise it's pointing back at regulator again.
