i'M NOT SURE IF THIS ANSWER IS FOR ME.

WITH THE 92 TOWN AND COUNTRY WHICH I'M TOLD NEEDS CRANKSHAFT SENSOR REPLACED.

THERE WAS A DIGAGRAM ON A RESPONSE YOU SENT TO SOMEONE

BUT I DIDN'T SEE ANY PARTS LISTED AS CRANKSHAFT SENSOR

    OR EVEN 'bellhousing" .

    WAS THAT RESPONSE FOR ME?

IF SO CAN YOU POINT OUT TO ME OR EXPLAIN TO ME WHERE THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR IS?

IS IT REAL HARD TO GET TO, ..LIKE WHAT HAS TO BE REMOVED TO GET TO IT?

HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD THE JOB TAKE?

HOW MUCH SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE JOB?

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT CAN CAUSE THIS PROBLEM.

THERE WAS NO ELECTRIC COMING THRU THE PLUG WIRES (ALTHOUGH I DON'[T KNOW IF HE CHECKED BOTH ENDS OF THE PLUG WIRES.

CAN YOU TELL YOU'RE TALKING TO A WOMAN WHO DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS?

    HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU.

I UNDERSTAND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH IT.

    SORRY/THANX

Sounds like it could very well be the crank angle sensor they fail often on these vehicles here is a picture that shows the location:

Its quite easy to replace the sensor, hope it solves your problem.

It's located on the top/side of your bell housing.

1989 cutlas cera wont start its giving me code 12

Code 12 is a "good" code-it means system normal.
Since no codes are stored, check for spark and check for gas-is the fuel pump coming on? You should hear the pump buzz for a couple of seconds when you turn the key to on-it should start and pressurize the lines, then shut off until the engine is cranked-when cranking, pump should be running again. If you don't hear the pump, check if the fuel pump wire at the gas tank connector has power to it when the engine is cranking. If it does and the pump is not working, the pump will need replacing.
If no power, check the fuel pump fuse and relay, under the hood.
If the fuel pump is working, it may be ignition related-check for spark. You need to see a blue snapping spark to know the ignition system is good. If no spark, suspect the ignition control module or the crank position sensor -or the pickup coil, if no crank sensor. The pickup coil will be in the distributor-if you have one. If no distributor, crank position sensor is behind the crankshaft harmonic balancer.
If fuel pump and spark are good, you will need to diagnose the injector circuit.
Post back with what you find.

Will not start. Sounds like not getting gas.

if the crankshaft sensor fails you wont have spark or fuel. Also the ASD relay under the hood powers up the fuel pump and ignition system. Aslo the camshaft sensor would cause a no start. Without actually testing these parts noone would be able to tell if maybe the problem is not a sensor but actually a failed computer.

Engine will crank but will not start and run.

Change the fuel filter first! It is located on most models passenger side center to rear center of van & tucked up near frame rail. Good luck!

2000 Mitsubishi Galant won't crank

Start with the old addage, "Give it fuel, Give it fire, and you will get what you desire." Check your fuel rail under the hood, it should have a valve almost like where you add air to a tire. Press the pin, fuel should shoot out of there. If not, its a fuel problem then you just trace it back down the line. Could be a fuel filter? Next, check your spark. See if your getting any to the plugs, if no, start tracing it back. Also, you didn't say if you recently replaced plugs and wires. If there are plug wires, which there should be, make sure they are connected to the right plug. If not your firing order won't be even close, so thats a no start. Check your fuel injection relay under the hood if you have one. Make sure it is working. This relay gives the fuel injectors their power. Basically, check anything that you need to make an engine run but start with the most basic first. Could be a bad MAF Sensor too. Also, don't rule out something crazy like a Crankshaft position sensor. There are ways to back probe all the sensors with a test light just look around online and find out what sensors you have and how to test them.

Hi!

You meant a 2.4 litre engine, right?

Check:
- Fault codes from the diagnostics system.
- Fuel pump relay, located under the fuse box cover under the hood. If it's a green one labeled 103 it might be the culprit and should be replaced with the new and improved red one.
- The fuel pump itself, measure voltage to the fuel pump and make sure it's getting sufficient power. Can you hear the pump working when turning on ignition?
- Fuel filter might be clogged up. Located under car, by the right rear wheel.
- Unaccounted air entering through vacuum hoses. Spray them with start gas while the engine is idleing, if engine revs up you've found a leak.
- Throttle body might be in need of cleaning, probably a good idea anyway as it usually gives the engine a tad better performance.
- Mass airflow sensor might need replacement or cleaning of connector.
- If idle is rough check idle control valve.
- Make sure all plugs are firing, engine might be missing one cylinder, causing it to vibrate depending on engine RPM.
- Check that coil is ok.

Your problem doesn't sound like a camshaft/crankshaft position sensor, but you never know. Have the codes read, that'll probably help alot!

Well, that should give you some idea as to where to start checking...
Good luck mate!

Jeep won't start until a clicking sound comes from fuse box

The click you hear is the fuel pump relay. It gets its signal to energize from the PCM.If you have a faulty Crankshaft Position Sensor, the PCM will not work. Check for a bad fuel pump relay and also all of the other sensors: Camshaft Position Sensor, MAP Sensor, Idle air Control, Intake Air Sensor, etc.
