Question about 2005 Chevrolet Aveo
New tires that developed chips according to the mechanic...
If you mechanic said it was " due to the light back end ", it can't be right.
Only 3 things can cause bad tire wear.
1. Over/under tire inflation
2. Shock/Strut worn out
3. Alignment is out
Two and Three would cause the "CHIP". I doubt they would design a car with a light back end because you can very easily loose control of the car in the rain. Basically called fishtailing.
