Thank you Smithbrother. The flasher for this vehicle seems to be located some where else. Only fuses seem to be visible in the fuse panel.

Sorry chap. I don't know your particualr vehicle. Can you trace it from the wiring coming for the stearing column as the flasher has to goto  there or to a relay. Is their a relay box on the firewall , under the hood? Are the one or two flashers?  , located there? Emergency flashers are seperate items on some cars.

A solenoid is an electricial operated devices that moves a mechanical device.  Turn signals do not have solenoids. Flashers are usually located on the fuse panel. Hope this helps.

The relay is built into the hazard light switch. The part is $40 or less at a dealership. It's a common failure. I do a lot of Audi repairs and keep four or five on hand at all times just because of the frequency with which they fail.

My Audi 1997 A4 1.8T Quattro dosent boost when I hit 3000 revs, it cuts out like Im red lining. Why is that?

Hi Ken, I believe you should take the vehicle for a diagnostic scan. It sounds as if the dump gate is defective and opening too soon and therefore not developing the boost required. The problem could also be related to a defective signal received by the management system and closing the injection system too early. Regards John

I need to find the fuse location for the headlamps on a 1999 Audi 2.8 A4 Quattro? Can you help?

The fuses location for the headlamps on a 1999 Audi 2.8 A4 Quattro are:
F18 (10 A) - RH headlamp - high beam
F19 (10 A) - LH headlamp - high beam
F20 (10 A \ 15A) - RH headlamp - low beam, headlamp adjustment
F21 (10 A \ 15A) - LH headlamp - low beam, headlamp adjustment

For Audi A4 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram.
