Can't find the fuses on 1984 Chevy S10

I can't find the fuses on 1984 Chevy S10. Are they in the cab or what? I've been told that I probably blew a fuse when we hooked up the battery cables backward.

The fuse panel is in the drivers side of the cab below the steering wheel.

I hooked jumper cables up backwards being in a hurry. I blew the 100 amp main fuse and replaced it. now the lights and blower fan work but the car won't turn over and the clock and radio don't...

It sounds like you blew fuses other than just the main fuse. Hooking the battery up wrong can destroy major components as well, like the starter, battery, Computer, moduals. You might need a good shop....

I have an 84 Chevy s10 that I'm trying to hook a radio up in. I'm having a problem finding what wire to hook the radio power wier to. Any suggestion? Thanks, Frank

Best way is to take a new wire and place it straight in the fuse box, making sure you dont over load, there are normally spare fuses there go to one of them.

You blew a fuse. Im guessing most likely culprit is a fusible link. try both sides of fusible links found by your battery. both sides should show your approximate battery voltage. check all fuses especially ones that show power regardless of the ignition switch being on or off.

My uncle has a 1991 S10,the fuel pump will run but truck will not start. you can pour fuel in and it runs. Also the truck was running fine untill a battery swap ,and it was hooked up wrong the ECM fuse...

you probably still blew the ECM. my uncle did the same in a full size chevy. it blew the fuse and the ECM. now here is the important part. he went to a salvage yard and they sold him what was suppose to be the right ECM. everything functioned but it would not start. he called me and i found that this was causing so much gas to be pumped that it was pouring in to the oil. he took it back and showed them the old one and then matched it up and all was well.

I have a 1984 Chevy Shortwide. Had the starter changed and now the lights, taillights dont work and putnew switch in but no power to it

Check to see if you managed to get the starter wires touching anything but what they are supposed to be touching. Also, a bad ground can cause your problems. In which case you probably blew the fuse in the process.
