Unscrew it to the left a little then try to pull out. Don't be rough with it you don't want to break it. See if the dipstick has a tab that flips and releases it.

Sometimes there is a locking tab on transmission dipsticks to keep them from coming out. Be sure there is no locking mechanism. If there isn't sometimes the o-rings on the dipstick get stuck to the tube. Try gently turning the dipstick while pulling.

What is the LLC/ATF warning in a lexus

I have an ES330 and have never seen LLC, but ATF is Automatic Transmission Fluid, so you need to check the level under the hood. There are two dipsticks to the front right and another centre front. One is engine oil and the other is ATF. The top of the dipstick will tell you. Use engine oil for the engine (top up by removing the cap on the rocker cover) and ATF Fluid for the ATF (top up on the reservoir on drivers bulkhead).

Hi, i have Honda civic 2002 lxi i want to know how much automatic transmission fluid required and how i can know in my car right has a right level of ATF is there or not because some of them says u can...

Hi,
Hahahaha! Those are words from people w/ automatic tranny? Heres how, early morning , before u start up the car, check the level of oil using the tranny dipstick. the dipstick will tell u( it has a level guide ) if it is full or low, if low, top up w/ ATF via that dipstick tube! Start the engine and let it warm up by driving around, check the dipstick, then u will see if it is low!
hope that helps u out!

92 Cutlass Supreme: How to read transmission fluid levels? Where to add fluid?

A 92 should have a normal dipstick for the ATF, near the firewall, if it is an automatic.
If it is a stick, then you need to pull the plug on the side of the tranny, underneath.

Where to find transmision dip stick

there is no dipstick, you can access the transaxle by lifting the car up. It is located on the drivers side right by the wheel. Remove the bolt at the top of the pan, if the fluid dribbles out there is enough, if not you need to fill it.

Wheres the dip stick for tranny

If it's a four speed automatic it doesn't have a dipstick. You have to remove a plug by the passenger side cv shaft and fill the trans thru the fill cap till it runs from the plug when the engine is running.

I have a 1998 eclipse and it leaks from the passenger side right at the back of the motor i have check all fluid and all are fine except for trans fluid dont know how to check that need help thanks.

I assume it is an automatic. Then the ATF stick will be near the back of the engine, around the firewall. And you have to check it with the engine running. The ATF should also look pink and not look brown or smell burnt.

Montero Sport, Automatic transmission fluid change

Ok, Mobil atf is more of a universal fluid, where Mitsubishi atf would be specifically formulated to be used in their products. Personally I would use the Mitsubishi as it is brand specific, but you can use either one with more than likely no problems.

Where's the transmission dipstick?

It is on the right hand side near the front, over a foot down into the engine compartment (toward the ground). It has a blue cap on it and says ATF on it.

Can't find dipstick transmision fluid

is that a front or rear wheel drive ? if it's a rear wheel drive the dipstick for the transmission (automatic) is generally near the back and toward the side of the motor near the firewall. if i remember right gm likes to use yellow for the dipstick. and it's often on the right hand side of the motor (looking from the front)
