Do a google search for 96 cadillac deville Air temp sensor, you should come up with several parts. I replaced mine on my 01 deville in about 10 minutes, the parts were $30 with shipping. the sensors just snap together on the harness.

On my car, which is the same as yours, it is located on the manifold top back left. Pictures in the book just show it on top.

SOURCE: 96 cadillac deville overheat

Check for coolant flow at the Purge line, this is a common problem on the Northstar.
There is a small diameter hose coming from near the top of the coolant tank, this is the purge line.
With the engine idling, pull the purge line from the tank,if there is no coolant flow from this small hose,it is blocked and this will cause overheating. If the hose is clear, check for blockage at the nipple on the tank.

Heater on 96 cadillac deville concours doesnt turn on

Hello. The most likely cause of your problem is that the heater/AC relay is on it's last legs. This easy to change. Go to any auto parts store to obtain the part, and ask them to show you where it is located [under the dash]. Then just unplug the old and plug in the new. Regards, Joe PS kindly rate my answer. thank you.
