Key turns all power on but nothing to the starter replaced the ignition switch and still nothing to the starter jumped the starter it works bot not with the key
SOURCE: wont start
There's only 2 more things that I can think of, check the fuse for the ignition, then the computor itself, you did everything else.It might be the problem and may not.

Solenoid was not mentioned as replaced.
If it was not part of new starter...that's the culprit.
Ignition switch (smaller wire) activates the solenoid (heavier wire) which in turn activates the (high current) starter.

Probably the ignition switch, neutral safety switch or clutch switch if it is a manual.
Post your e-mail and I will send you a wiring diagram.

I has an 86 Mustang that did a similar thing and it turned out that the battery actually shorted out. This happens when one of the plates inside the battery brakes off and then touches another plate. When mine died it was like I turned the iginition off. It wouldn't turn over even with jumper cables.

Check, clean and tighten your battery posts, and the power connection to the starter and ground. Make certain the battery is good and charged, Perhaps you have a bad starter motor, or the engine is frozen (will not turn over). I think the ignition switch is okay, because your lights dim when you try to start. This indicates power is getting to the starter (at least some).
