There is a program that i use on the internet that has all the info you need including tsb's and wiring diagrams. type eautorepair.com then scroll down and you will see diy. the program costs 12 dollars but has priceless info. you will find everything you need there, and if you have any trouble they have people that can help standing by. i have used them on several occasions and their diagrams are profesional quality.

I can not find an exploded diagram to show clutch and pressure plate replacement.where can I get one for a 1988 Chevy nova 1.6 liter 5 speed manual

Try HAYNES REPAIR MANUALS.com....It is a very simple job on that type of vehicle if you have
a service lift or a good set of tall ramps,,,I am sure Haynes should have it but finding the same year model Is hard to say.......But most clutch jobs on rear wheel drives arent that hard if you have the
tools and a trans jack and a good safe way to raise the vehicle................If you cant find one I will give you easy step by step instructions.......I am certified...27 yrs of service work auto/ med. heavy truck.....best of luck..........................................Metalpoet

2000 Chevy Prizm Lsi 4-speed auto trans. problems

That does sound like a linkage adjustment problem.

If that does not work, I'd try a fluid change and filter. But your diagnostics with pulling on the gear shifter is a pretty good indication of a linkage problem.

How do i replace wheel stud on 88 corolla? front driver side

you will have to take the disc and caliper off too.
Then put the wheel nut back on, screw the nut until the top is level with the thread on the stud. A few good hits should do it, when you put the new one in put a few washers on the stud, then put the nut on and tighten up just so the stud is in right.
Here is a diagram will show you the stud.
i hope this helps!

Wheel bearing replacement left front wheel Hello Everyone, I may need to replace the wheel bearing on my right front wheel of my Corolla wagon. How can I know for sure? And how can I find out how to do...

Diagnosing the bearings can be tricky depending on severity of wear. Typically - drone noise at highway speeds, squeeling, clicking or grinding noises at low speeds that reduce during braking, or pull off the wheel and brake assembly and check the bearing for slack or smoothness of rotation by hand. While doing this, check the brake assembly thoroughly - generally a more likely culprit of wheel noise.

Wheel bearing replacement is not for the novice backyard mech. - you will need pullers, press, etc. If you can get a rebuilt assembly - much easier.

Shaking at 70mph

If only happening at a particular speed, the tires & wheels need to be balanced. If shaking were to occur at other speeds, suspension components, alignment, loose lug nuts, and more can cause the shaking . But at only one speed, and then disappears as you lower or raise that speed is caused by out of balance wheels\tires. Be sure to have them high speed spun balanced as "static" or bubble balancing only balances in one plain. Dynamic balance covers across the tread as well as the running "plane" or front and back of the wheel tire combo. Thanks for your question and be sure to rate this soultion for us. Good luck, Papa

Toyota ep71 starlet 1988 - 5spd manual trans

The Corolla gearbox has a longer tailshaft than the Starlet and the gearstick is in a different place, you may be able to fit with a modified driveshaft and a new hole in the floor , the starlet 5 speeds were a little fragile and prone to doing bearings. I would recommend rebuilding the one you have as it will probably be less hassle and cheaper.
