First check the fuel cap. Code P0442 is and evap leak. Also might have a leak in fuel system, even a rusty gas tank could cause this

Check engine light on. Won't stay off. OCD code is po442 po128 coolant.

Just fixed mine with the same code and gm tech advised me to change thermostat which is not a fun job as it is located in the LOWER hose and comes with a gooseneck assembly and O ring. The temp sensor could also be the problem but was told not likely so got by with just thermostat!

Wont pass smog check check engene light is on

Take it to a shop and have the car scanned for the codes. This will tell you exactly what is wrong. They usually do it for free and only takes ten minutes. It is most likely a sensor or an egr problem.Cant really know until you get the codes. Good luck.

Ive been told chevy impala should not run out of gas but it did what damages could it cause?I ran out of gas now my car want stay stared i need to know what kind of damage did i cause by letting my car ran...

You could easily have caused damage to your fuel pump in the process of running out of fuel. I would suggest starting with that and replacing it if you need to. Did it give you an error code? You could check your fuel filter also. You can also try to reset your computer and see if that fixes it, but only if you have a check engine light. If it is giving you a code, take it to a mechanic and let him tell you what the code is, or post it on here. You can also run some injector cleaner through and see if that helps at all. I would start with the fuel filter then pump though. Good luck!

No. It's a good buy. Just run a scan on the car before paying to be sure of its condition/ state.

2003 toyota highlander OBD code's po442/po446/po441

if the air filter was recently inspected or changed, look for the vacuum hose to be disconnected from the valve located on the air filter cover. another source may be the gas cap either loose or with the tether strap caught under it preventing a proper seal

Loosing power

Wow, I just went through the same problem and guess what it was a clogged converter and a bad oxyegen sensor. The garaged fixed it up for me by putting an eco converter on it and a new O2 sensor. I have a 2003 Chevy Impala,V6 3.8 engine. Good Luck!!!!
