Danny, you will need to see if there is a problem in the wiring harness. since you already checked the fuse i would rcommend that you try using a current tester while pressing the power seat button to check the forward/back wire. if there's current then you may have motor trouble and will need to check the up/down wire next. be sure you are following the correct wires when testing.

check the track for anything that have gotten stuck in it and then check the fuses and if all good the motor could simply be burned out get a 12volt tester and if the fuses are good test to see if you have power while pushing the button because it could be just a bad switch

hello dschlig, most common for these seats are the motors. I would recommend raising the seat as high as possible. While trying to activate the seat in the forward/back positions, see if you hear or feel a clicking in the motor under the seat. The motor can be recognized closest to the carpet, and has 2 rods going to each seat track. If the motor clicks, inspect the connector and make sure nothing dislodged it. If it is ok, you can use a small hammer and an extension and lightly tap the motor to see if it will maybe release. If you know how to use a volt-meter, you can also check for power to the motor connector when sliding the switch in either direction. The motor can be replaced seperately.

The only way to solve this issue is to extract the seat and inspect. The front and back movement is different from the other actions that the seat may be able to do...
Look for damaged, dirty and miss aligned track components.
Testimonial: "It was helpful but my problem in taking the seat out is that it is stuck in the very extreme back position and i cannot get to the back nuts to remove"

this can be a few things, you may have a bad motor, or a broken cable to motor or seat track and last maybe a broken track, the best way to diagnose would be to remove the seat flip it over while still conected, meaning; remove the bolts at the bottom of the seat then push seat back toward the rear seat this way you can see the track, now move the controls as you watch the track,it may go sideways instead of straight back or foward this will show you what side is not working from there you can see if its a cable broken or track or motor not turning .
