The tank has 2 straps that hold the tank to the frame(make sure tank is some what empty, the emptier the lighter) then just disconnect the fuel lines and wires then you can to the pain in the **** ring (some times the ring is loose enough to turn with a hammer and chisel) the book says make a "special tool" but you can be creative. then remove the fuel pump canister and follow the directions depending on if you bought the whole Mopar replacement canister or just a replacement fuel pump.
Hope this helps

Wiring in a transfer tank pump in 2011 dodge 3500

Will you have 2 separate tanks, You will need to run the fuel line safely up against the frame to where you want to mount it and add the new pump. You will need a valve that shuts off one tank then the other as you need it. I'm sure you can find one with the info in the box. Use your original pump to feed the motor. That is if it's a puller pump. You tube might make it simpler? Get ahold of me and
i'll walk you thru it!

2000 ram 3500 deisel dies at 2000 rpm won't start

could be fuel elated, there are two fuel pumps, the high pressure pump to feed the injector system and the lift pump to get fuel from tank to the high pressure pump. Check fuel filter also and start there. The fuel pumps are expensive. What have you checked so far and eliminated?

2004 dodge p0628 code does not start

those year trucks have bad lift pumps on the diesel engine. it is located near the fuel filter. they are also known for starving the injecter pump for lubrication oil due to the pumps low capacity. it is now recomended that an in the tank pump change over kit be installed

The Fuel Filter is located: Under vehicle, center, below cargo area, mounted on top of fuel tank, in fuel pump module

Good luck (remember rated this post).

I have a 2000 dodge ram 3500 l6 turbo diesel, just had the fuel pump and injectors replaced, but now no fuel is passing along, and can not hear the pump turn on. replaced the fuel system relay and still...

pump is your only choice at this point...HOWEVER, it does have sufficient fuel in the tank and switched to the supply tank (in case you have dual tanks) right?
