Question about 2004 Cadillac CTS
Where is the oil filter on a 2005 cadillac cts
The oil filter should be under the mid section of the engine. It is located in a cylindrical canister approximately four (4) inches in diameter and seven (7) inches long. Remove the bolt holding it onto the engine and the filter is inside. Purchase the filter first from your local auto parts store, about $7 and it will help you identify the shape of the casing it is located in. Not to bad a change but I found that with the cost of oil, disposal fee, and filter that it was actually less expensive to let Goodyear do it. Before taking it in for the change, call ahead and ask if they're running the special on oil changes. Even if they're not, they'll more likely then not quote the sale price to get your business. Works every time for me. $19.50.
