The bulb is 10 bucks(bought at dealer). open the hood. in the back of the head light you can feel a twist off knob. twist it off then when off you have to twist off a metal braket the holds the bulb. take it off then remove the bulb. put the new nulb back on and it should work. not too hard to doo.

How do I replace tthe bulb for the brake light on a 2005 nissan maxima?

First check the car manual.
I have done this repair myself. First pull back the trunck liner on the taillight needing repair. You will see two long bolts with nuts holding the taillightin place. Using a socket wrinch loosen the nuts completely. Fom the outside the taillight should be loose. grab the edge of the taillight and pull directly backward. Once out, you will see the individual bulb sockets. Replace the bad bulb. Test the lights, then reassemble.

Replacing headlight bulb on a 2005 nissan maxima

You can purchase a Haynes Manual or go on-line to and purchase the factory service manual in .pdf format and download it for around $20 bucks for an hour of access. If yours is an HID bulb the cost is mostly the bulb. And, if you are not familiar with HID then I would let them do it. But, if you feel comfortable just jack up the car on the driver's/passanger side and remove the tire to get access to the inner fender well. Remove the clips and screws and you now have access to the back of the headlight assembly. Remove the access cover on the assembly and you will find the back of the bulb. If it just a turn and the access cover comes off and then the same for the bulb.

How do i replace the brake light on a 2005 nissan maxima?

Open trunk, and locate the 2 small nuts that are located behind the light housing. Unscrew the nuts, then wiggle the entire housing away from the car. Then you can get at the back of the housing to remove the bulb.

Replace rear tail light bulb on a 2005 nissan maxima

Open the trunk, from the inside remove the side trunk liner (by removing the plastic tabs the liner can be pulled back). Once the liner is pulled back you will need to remove two nuts which secure the tail light in place. Once the two nuts are removed you can start pulling the whole tail light assembly out. There are two other tabs that secure the tail light in place which may give you some resistance but the light should come out without too much force once the two nuts are removed.
Once the tail light is out you can change whatever bulbs you need to.

2005 Nissan Maxima SE Fog light replacement

jorgeva: on the driver's side to gain access, you must remove the air cleaner assembly. At that point, you can see the back of the light which has a plastic cap. Rotate this "counter clockwise" and you can pull it back from the back of the lamp housing. From there you will see how the bulb it self is plugged in, which is obvious. Unplug it. There is a "spring "like latch retainer to hold the bulb in place. Unlatch it, remove the bulb and install the new bulb.
CAUTION!!!!!!! DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS AREA OF THE NEW BULB! Only handle the rear section. Reassemble in the reverse order.
The right side will require the removal of the windshield washer tank.
I trust this will have answered your question. If you would, let me or FIXYA know if I have solved your problem......
