it is not that easy to undo a/c hoses and the good thing is that they look different from the heater hose . the heater hose seams to appear that they go through the fire wall but they do not just a lot of fun to get of if you want to safe the hose.the a/c hose has got alloy fittings

You have a leak in the heater core. Cheap to buy , pain in the but to get at. They are usualy way up inside the dash. Temporary solution to stop leak , is to disconect the suply lines in the engine compartment , and use a hose fiting , or short piece of hose to connect them , thus bypassing the leaky part of the system. All must be clamped tight because the coolant us inder pressure when engine is hot.

Epeneding on what type of vehicle you have any of this work could range from mildly annoying , to tear your hair out junp up and down swear alot.
Eg : Ford Pickup .....OK Pontiac grand am......nasty

Make sure you are working on the right hoses. Disconecting the A/C lines would be a bad thing.

If the sensor is dirty, it may malfunction. How old is the coolant? If there is a low drain, see if it is dirty.

Coolant leak near oil pan

I would think maybe the water pump is leaking you will have to put it up on jack stands and wipe everything down under the car. Then if you start it for a minute or two shut it off you should be able to see where it's comming from.

MOST LIKELY IT WILL BE COMEING FROM THE THIRD BRALE LIGHT AREA, YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE TRIM AND CAP PADING TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE INSIDE OF THE RAW CAB , THE HAVE SOME ONE SPRAY IT DOWN WITH A WATER HOSE AND LEAK SHOUD SHOW ITS SELF

Antifreeze smell and smoke coming out of vents

You have a coolant leak most likely in the heater core. Try disconnecting your heater hoses and coupling them together, then running the engine to see if the leak goes away. If it does, I would have the heater core replaced.

01 gmc truck 1500 2wd oder of antifreeze inside cab

the small radiator just inside the cab, where the hoses go to the heater is leaking. You may try using stop leak (many don't recommend this) or take off the heater radiator. it will probably get worse when you turn on the heater and fog up the windshield if not fixed. hope this helps.
