Well i dont really know Optima's but the most easy way to find it is to find the spark plugs that go into the block of the car and then follow the wires to the other end away from the block of the car to the other end of the wires and thats where your coil packs will be. Hope that is some help

No spark on cyl 3 and 4

What engine ? 2.2 l or 2.4 L. You don't say if any codes are set. no P0303 - P0304 cylinder's 3 & 4 misfire ? or any other ? No the cam sensor wouldn't cause just two cylinders to misfire. The PCM triggers the ICM to turn on an off coil's to build up an collapse the primary voltage inducing the secondary voltage . This engine is equipped with a non-distributor ignition system called the electronic ignition (EI) system. The primary circuit of the EI system consists of the following components:
?€¢
Two separate ignition coils

?€¢
An electronic ignition control module (ICM)

?€¢
A crankshaft position (CKP) sensor

?€¢
Related connecting wires

?€¢
The ignition control (IC) portion of the powertrain control module (PCM)
Important: The camshaft position (CMP) sensor is only used for a misfire detection. It is not part of the ignition system. !

Chrysler neon not fireing on 1 and 4 cyl

I would be more inclined to think the wiring in the coil pack for that coil may have a problem. Have a shop check your ignition system, before springing for a new pcm. There should be a hot wire to the coil primary wire going to that coil. May have to run continuity tests on the wiring for the coil pack. Or if you could find a used coil pack, and use your good coils on it to try it.

Where is ignition distributor engine speed input circuit located on 2002 Kia optima

Well the 4 cyl engine uses a coil for each cylinder, and the 6 cyl uses one coil for all 6. Both systems use signals from the engine computer to fire the coils. So the RPM circuit would involve the engine computer. No distributor is used.

How do you know if a coil is bad?

what engine, a 4 or 6, will make a diference; any way if it a 6 cyl just switch coils from another cyl and see if code chances if not your problem may be an injector. On other hand if is a four you have a distribuitor take your cap out and inspect coil for cracks or carbon tracks same thing with distribuitor cap is allways a good practice to relace cap, rotor and wires at same time. resistance on distribuitor coil primary 0.36 to 0.64 ohms secondary 9.0 to 18.0 ohms if a coil pack 0.64 ohms to 1.23 primary and secondary 9.3 to 18.8 good luck

2002 kia optima 4 cyl po350 code ignition coil. is there a separate coil that feeds the coils at the spark plugs or are these the only ones? if so where is it located?

the coils at the plugs are the only ones, no other ignition coil. have you checked the system for trouble codes? if not get a cheap code reader and read the codes, then post them back here.
