Hard to say, look around the engine's wiring harness and sensor harness. My brother had the same problem and it was field mice that decided to chew up some of the wires under the hood to make a new nest.
Good luck and let me know how you make out.

Why does my 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup lose its charge while parked?

Hi Ross:
This should be fun to track down.
First, how old is the battery? Could be it just decided to die. Disconnect it, charge it, and then wait a while and test it. Batteries have a lifespan.
Next, if the battery is good, AND THIS IS IMPORTANT, something is drawing power from the battery while the vehicle is parked. It could be as simple as a clock, but if you're parking it for 6 months, odds are it will be dead when you try to use it. Are there manual switches that you may have accidentally left on? Interior lights maybe.
Hope this helps

Have a 1999 Dodge Durango, the vehicle shut itself off while parked, I tried jumping the vehicle and it will not turn over, The dislay reads "no Bus" what does that mean?

if you let vechicle set battery will run down.not in month time frame, if you going let it set either crank vechicle let idle keep battery charged or disconnect battery if vechicle going to set for long time period,i would keep battery charged up using battery charger.

I have a 1999 ford taurus se and two weeks ago it went dead took the battery to be charged and has been fine but has stopped working again i replaced the battery and still wont start any suggestions

Battery cables and connectors must be clean and tight.
Wires on starter must be clean and tight.
If there is no crank at all test neutral safety switch ,ignition switch and starter relay.

lastly test starter by fabricating a set of jumper wires and running it straight from battery and see what happens.

1985 dodge powerwagon, lights went dim driving home now wont start, just replaced battery 6 months ago. starter clicked at first then nothing.

The alternator may not be charging the battery. Jump start it, and use a volt meter at the battery, red lead to positive and black to neg. The meter should read between 13 and almost 15 volts, any lower than 13 volts, the alternator is no good. (this is done with vehicle running).

Have a 1999 dodge ram2500 diesel. been running fine. parked for about a week (have had temps in the low 20's). started and ran for about 5-10 sec (rough). now will only crank and not start. Replaced lift...

the best advice i can give you is bring it into a warm garage and let it heat up, then treat your fuel with anti gel solution run it through your injectors by running engine and this should not happen again, seems like your lines are gelled up and you don't have proper pressure.

I purchased a 1984 XJS. The battery went dead, so

any battery that sits has the potential to drain. when storing your vehicle, remove the negative terminal from the battery. this should aid in keeping the battery alive. excellent vehicle. enjoy driving it. by the way, make sure you get the proper battery for either the L6 or the V12 motor. it makes a world of difference in the long run.

Probably the battery. Take it the chain auto parts place and they will test it for you.
