The diesels I've worked on are bleed at the injectors. You need to loosen each injector in turn and pump up fuel pressure until only fuel comes out, no air, than tighten the fitting up before it back feeds. Repeat this process for each injector.
TBH you shouldnt need too. There is a hand prime pump (black rubber egg) which will bring the fuel up. Pump this till its hard. Crank the engine for 5 seconds. Pump the egg again, crank again, probably three or four times, and the engine should start. It will probably stall, but do it again, and it will start and run. Once running, keep it running at a fast idle to get the last bits of air out.
fill the fuel fillter crack off the injector pipes all 4 at the same time then just turn the engine over untill the fuel spits out of the injector pipes.then just retighten the pipes.

Key imobiliser light not going out. Had a problem this morning, light would not go out then after trying few more times it worked again. I parked up this afternoon and same thing happened again but would not start. I do have two keys but the problem same with both. I was towed down the road with ignition on and put into gear to slow down and it started, when I turned it off again it would not start. Is this a problem I can solve? I am a mechanic and have tried disconecting battery and reconnecting but no such luck. Many thanks Clive
