Question about Ford Laser
I have 1990 mazda mpv it overheated so all the water ran out and it stalled out when i put water in again it leaks steady from the bottom of the pulley and it wont start did i crack my engine block
It is a very bad idea to put cold water in a over heated engine. If you must first start the car and add the water slowly. This will allow the water to mix in with the hot water and not shock the block. But the best thing to do is let the engine cool before adding water. If you add cold water to a hot engine with the engine off and than start it the cold water will pass into the block and could cause the iron to contact unevenly and crack. Good luck.
