1997? Do you happen to have a carburator? If so, I'd say you have a problem with the carb's choke. Either it needs adjusting or it's not working.

SOURCE: jeep starts rough when cold there a missing vacumm

If you are looking at a vacuum line fitting that has no line on it, generally the hose (line) that goes on it should be nearby...they generally don't travel to a far distant location. While looking for the disconnected line, put a short piece of hose with a screw or something in the end to block it off on the open fitting. Usually if a line is open, you will also have some vacuum operated item that will not be working...that may give you a clue which line has fallen off.

1998 Jeep wrangler 4.0 sputters after it warms up. Runs good when cold. Changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, checked vaccum lines. There are many sensors, what do I do next?

Try disconnecting the upstream O2 sensor(s). If the sputtering stops replace the O2 sensor(s). Mine was faulty and stuttering too and no check engine light or code was thrown. After unplugging the O2 sensor and monitoring for a week with no issue I had it replaced for $100 - $150 at a local shop.

First starting in the morning the 1996 jeep cherokee classic fires right up, backs out of the driveway, is able to go into forward and go down the block, at the stop sign there, it dies, and, until it...

Check out your cold start choke. It is designed to cause your fuel mixture to run "rich" until it warms up. It is basically a heat sensitive coil that reacts to heat from the exhaust manifold.

Jeep grand cherokee stalls after warming up

You need to check components again when the engine is hot and in no-start condition, otherwise, you will get bad info...obviously whichever part is doing this works fine cold. ones that react most to heat are crank pickup, ignition coil and the fuel pump.(bad ones get hot and bind up)

Stalls when engne warms up

Your ECT (Engine Coolant Temp) sensor is bad. What's happening is at cold start it richens up the fuel mixture and as it warms up the ECM thinks it's still cold and essentially the "choke" is still on. Also check your coolant level. If you don't have enough coolant in you engine/radiator, the ECT doesn't know what to do so it thinks it's cold.
