Backwards is usually the 'accessories' setting. Sounds like the switch is worn out.

The issues have to be diagnosed, to find out
what is wrong or failed

Only then, will you know what the repair is or the
cost.

Do you always ask what is wrong & what will it cost,
with every vehicle issue or other product, when you haven't
even had it looked at or anything diagnosed?

The blinkers and wipers and radio dont work unless the key is turned backwards, if the jeep is running none of these work, this is a 1999 jeep wrangler tj

sounds like the accessory side of the ignition switch is not working. When the key is on run position the same wire that is hot coming out when the key is turned to accessory should be hot, along with the ignition wire that runs the engine. (hot meaning it has 12v)

My car turns on but it wont shift into any gear

dear friend-your blinker light has nothing to do with your gearbox problem,i surgest you have a look at the hazard switch.regarding you gearbox problem i think we must start at the gear lever.make sure that when you press the button on the shift that it does dis-engage,then while having the shift in hand move the car forward and back wards, try to dis-engage,if not you will have to remove the sump and look at the meganism inside,it has a half moon operating the shaft that is connected to the lock meganism.

Saturn 2002 VUE Turn Signal not working properly.

You need to check your left side turn/park lamp bulbs for correct part # & installation. If that checks out you deffinetely have a ground problem. When you have other lights blinking with you turn signals you have either a bulb incorrect or a bad/poor ground. If bulbs check out check your forward lamp harness ground.Hope this helps
