Question about Mercedes-Benz Cars & Trucks
I have a 1996 Mercedes-benz C220 that acts like it doesn't have gas. I can put gas in it then in no time it acts like its gone. It goes dead so I put more gas and it will start up and run then it goes dead after 10mils. What could be worng with it? Please Help
Hi: Try changing the fuel filter, Also check the gas tank vent, when it stalls loosen the gas cap and try to start it again it may not be lack of fuel but when you open the cap you are reliving the vacuum from the tank, after you close the cap the vacuum will build again. It can also be the gas cap if it is vented. Good Luck /AL

This can not be reset by conventional methods. This must be done through a scan tool. Usually only the dealer scan tool will communicate with the SRS module. If the SRS light is on you have other issues and they must be remedied before the light will go out. There is no way of knowing what the issue is without running codes with the scan tool.

Look in the air intake system, there is a mass air flow sensor from the air filter...
