Spray starting fluid in the intake to make sure the spark is timed right. If it doesn't run, do a timing check.

Take one of the spark plugs out and let us know what it looks like. Dry and light grayish tan means you have spark but fuel supply problems. Wet spark plug that smells like gas means it is more of a spark issue.

Good Luck

SOURCE: black smoke on my nissan terrano when you put

black smoke usually indicates to much fuel being delivered. If this is the case you need to correct it soon or you will damage the catalytic convertor. What year is the vehicle and how many miles on it? Is there a check engine light on? this info would help

1997 Nissan Terrano 2.7 - changed battery. - won't start - but turning over

You will probably have to reset the ECU as it thinks the vehicle may be stolen and shuts the fuel supply off.
I always plug a motorbike battery with a cigar lighter plug on it, to keep the electronics live whist changing the battery.
It keeps 12volts on the system and avoids this sort of thing from happening.

2003 Nissan Terrain 2.7 isn't revving up after starting it, cuts out when left running. Was put on a computer code PO235 showed up what is it? Please advise?

Looks like a boost sensor or part of the circuit is malfunctioning. I think you meant a Nissan Terrano? It could be something as simple as a sensor went bad or a hose came loose, to major turbo or engine damage. I would check to see if any of the intake hoses are not connected or loose first, then go from there. The vehicle's computer knows the ballpark value of the boost pressure, but the sensor is sending no signal (or completely erroneous values), so the computer cuts fuel in order to prevent serious engine damage.

Today my 1990 nissan terrano/pathfinder just stopped running. wouldnt start back up but would turn over fine........

Sudden death in vehicle is usually based on something electrical. Check fuses and relays with fuses. Check 1) spark on each plug in turn 2) crank sensor 3) coil 4) cam sensor 5) main relay. Put ignition on position 2 and listen at the open fuel filler pipe for the pre-pump operating. Listen for main pump operation. (If unsure what it is you are listening for remove the fuse for the pump and you nshould notice it being quieter) Check fuel rail for pressure (there is a Schrader 'tire' valve on the fuel rail for pressure testing purposes). If fuel flow is low then this could be blocked fuel filter or tired pump. Finally make sure throttle body is good and clean internally at least and that associated idle air valve is clean and working. With fuel air and spark at the right moment the engine should run. My gut feeling is the crank sensor

1988 Nissan Terrano/Pathfinder big problem!!!!

Have you all checked the Oxygen sensor? And the Mass Airflow sensor? Either of those could do it. If both of those check out, make sure the fuel pump relay is kicking in/out, and make sure it works period.

Nissan terrano 2.9 turbo Water in header tank

There is a leaking coolant hose, or a perforation of the Heater Matrix.Often a temporary quick fix is to shut off the incoming Hot Coolant and crimp the return to engine hose with a Long Nose snap lock.
