Are you cleaning the bulb thoroughly and wearing gloves to install the bulb?

You're not grounding somewhere. check your harnesses for cleanliness and make sure that ground wires are clean and snug

SOURCE: Low beam bulb blown 2008 Sorento LX

Welcome to Buying Headlights Anonymous. If you have a Kia, you'll soon own shares in Sylvania.
I have an '03, and if the mounts haven't changed, you get at the bulbs by opening the hood and removing three screws that hold the headlight assemply - large screws in plastic tabs. ONce they're out, pull forward on the inside edge (toward the centre of the grill) of the headlight assemply. Should slide out toward you - might hear a 'snap'. Once it is out, unscrew the 'cap' behind the light, diengage the spring clip and pull out the bulb.

SOURCE: HID low beam headlight replacement for 2003 lexus es300

The HID bulbs are very easy to change, and can be bought online for much less than from the dealer. Check sites like xenondepot and Ebay for Phillips D2R (for reflector headlamps) HID bulbs and you can replace them yourself.

SOURCE: low beams not working

It could be the Headlight fuse or maybe the switch so here is a link to AutoZone for a headlight switch for the make and model of your car.

SOURCE: Low beams are not working.

Thats tuff! You may have a wire grounding out somewhere near the light or near the steering column. Have you checked all the fuses? like under the hood fuse box and in the car fuse box? theres two on every car. other then that i would take it to an electric place to have them check it out or call around to see if they can help and who is the cheapest. k hope this helps.

I have a 2011kia optima I replaced both low beam head lights about 3months ago,and 3weeks ago the driver side low beam went out again. I replaced the bulb again but still didn't work. What's wrong with it?

could be a short, bad or loose ground and maybe blew a fuse. check fuses and wiring for aforementioned problems. also if they are the H.I.D lights the ballast (should be a small, usually black box, either on the back of the bulb or wired in-line) is bad.

Headlamps not working.

is the light setup one ballast for high and low beam ? if so the ballast has gone, probably even the bulbs. replace the ballast and bulbs. some aftermarket ballasts don't last, if you cannot find the right ballast for replacement you will need to replace both ballasts. as every ballast set are set the same and sold in pairs.

I have a 2006 ford escape and the passenger head light low beam will not work. Tried replacing the bulb, and check fuses nothing is working.. what else can I try?

Both your low beam and your high beam is protected by the same fuse, so it makes sense that the fuse is OK if the high beam is working on the passenger side. There are 3 fuses for the headlamps. Fuse #13 in the Battery Junction Box (20 Amp). If this fuse is blown, the headlamp relay will not have any power and neither high nor low beam on either side will work (you will have no headlamps at all) Then there is Fuses #2 and #3 (15 Amp) in the Battery Junction Box. #2 goes to the left low and high beam and #3 goes to the right low and high beam.
The headlamp switch uses a SINGLE CIRCUIT to control BOTH sides at the same time, so if one side works, the switch cannot be the problem. The headlamp relay provides power for fuses #2 and #3 and we already ascertained that these fuses must have power since we have working lights on both sides, so the relay cannot be the problem. A replacement bulb has already been tried, so that pretty much leaves us with a bad lamp socket. (Most likely cause) or a bad connection at splice #S122, which is located in the main wiring harness near the breakout for the left headlamp. (RED/BLACK wire)

Lt. headlight low beam wont work after replacing the bulb.

I assume it didn't work before you changed the bulb either. You'll have to check for voltage at the bulb socket when the low beam headlights are turned on. If there is none you'll have to trace the wire back to where it splits from the right low beam headlight. If there is voltage there you have a problem with the new bulb.

Manual says two low-beam versions, one halogen, one not. How to tell which I need?

Bulbs are usually not interchangeable as the wrong type won't fit. Find the bulb type by removing one of the old ones. replace both of the low beams at the same time. If you buy two of the same variety and they are the right bulb number (H7 is a style of low beam) they are okay to use, Change in pairs so beam color and bulb life are the same.

open your hood look behind the headlight you will see various cables depending on high or low beams are the cables you need to fallow the projector beam is low beam and the hallogen is high beam look for the clip that holds it in place do not touch new bulb with fingers this will damage the bulb use a paper towel or such to install nothing is to touch bulb or the life of the bulb will be shortened by residue left on it

It's the Ballast. You have to pull the front bumper off to get at it. It's about $100 for the part. Good luck
