SOURCE: chevy steering wheel controls

You first have to disarm and remove the air bag (unscrews with bolts from behind the steering wheel) and then you will see the screws for the switches. Only the silverado awitches will work.

SOURCE: clunky noise front passenger side on 2003 chevy cavalier

Hi, these symptoms can be caused by a few issue within the front area of this vehicles. i will list a few problem spots that i recommend inspecting. you will find the issue in one or all the areas listed below.

1. Check the tie rod ends.this is the part that is connected to the wheel rotors. if the ends of the tie rod are lose or worn, it will cause this sound you are hearing at this time.
2. I would also inspect the Steering gear as well. this is associated with the power steering pump.
3. The most common issue will be the CV Half-Shaft (Remanufactured) CCT. if the CV boot that covers the CV joint assembly, becomes tron and lose, it will expose the well oiled joint assembly. this will allow drying of this vital joint, therefore, reducing the fluid motion of the joint. This drying will produce the (CLUNK) that you are hearing when driving on the road or hitting bumps as well.

Remember to check all the above. you will find the issue in one or all of the above areas.

Please rate and god bless:)

also u may want to check the regualtor take to a mechanic and have him put i pressure guage and to make sure pump is pumping right amouth of psi. you could have broke some of the plastic on pump when putting in. If good psi then maybe relay or regulator under intake.

I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe just today i heard a weird grinding sound that seemed to be in the front passenger side wheel area. That sound went away and now the abs light is flashing on and off and dinging...

The water may be condensation after using the A/C.

The noise & abs light combination seems to be the wheel bearing/speed sensor. Get the ODB code checked by Advance Auto for free. That code will let you know what the issue is.

2003 Chevy Silverado, 54k miles experiencing anti-look braking even on dry roads. What is causing and how to fix???

are your tires good, check fluid level, do you have the ABS light on if you do check with a scanner the most common problem is a wheel position sensor thats worn or dirty some times they get dirty and they dont give a good signal makink the ABS system to think that the wheel with the problem is blocked go check with a scanner it would tell you what wheel sensor is faulty

2003 chevy silverado 2500 HD when ingageing 4 wheel high on the fly it makes a load clunk and grinding noise

I had a similar problem and had to have the 4 wheel drive serviced. It need new grease. the grease i had was old and it was causing the gears not engage cleanly thus causing the grinding sound until they were realigned.

My 2005 Chevy Silverado makes a noise sometimes when turning corners that sounds like a horn honking in the distance for a few seconds then stops. No noticeable problems but anoying. Any advise on what...

check to see if the tires are rubbing inside the wheel well.. also you might roll down the window and hang your head out and listen at slow speeds while turning in a empty parking lot. if there is a faint grinding sound then a wheel bearing is bad. this is just a couple things to go on..good luck..

Grinding noise front end.

I say it's the CV joints. You have to jack up under the lower A-Arm, to take the spring pressure off of it, to check them.

(Use jack stands, and wheel chocks behind the rear tires. Emergency brake On. Work on a hard level surface. Be SAFE! Trucks can be replaced, YOU cannot!)

1999 chevrolet silverado 1500 4.3L long box

it is almost impossible to solve without hearing it in person, but some things to check are the front brakes, front wheel bearings, tires, and loose suspension parts.

2003 chevy silverado just failed inspection due to e-brake being a little loose. pulled one tire, not sure what to stick in slot on back of wheel to tighten. felt around with regular screwdriver but don't...

sometimes you can put the truck in reverse and holfd your foot on the brake and give it cas and let it self adjust.its the easiest way i know to tighten themup
