SOURCE: 1999 Chrysler Sebring Convertible code P1495. I

Code 1495 = Leak Detection Pump Solenoid Circuit

Remove the connector from the solenoid (should be on the back wall, just to the drivers side of the air-hat). You will have the solenoid to check and the harness. What you want to measure is the voltage coming from the harness and the resistance of the solenoid.

Turn the key to the "ON" position but do not start the motor; the voltage at the connector should be at least 10V or more,.now, check the resistance of the solenoid (should be around 35 ohms).

    Hope helps.

in the end it will probably save you money if you take it to a well known repair shop it may cost you around 70 to 100 $ but you will know what is wrong and not just throwing parts @ it.there is a lot of so call mechanics out there. good luck

My friend has a chrysler sebring and was recently told that the computer board is bad she just had a distributor unit and rotor, and cap replace on that car but the mechanic said that the car is running bad...

This is your ECM. It can be reprogrammed or fix, but you would have to take it off to a repair place. It is better to order it and give them your vin number. That way, when you get it, it is already programmed to your vehicle. The ECM controls all of the ignitions, so your mechanic is right.

I know how to find tdc on car but i am not sure on how to put distributor back. I turned engine over and forgot to mark rotor, what should it be pointing at on the cap. Thank you, Joe

As the distributer is being slid in, it will rotate some. You want to slide it in and as it rotates you want to align the rotor to where the number 1 spark plug wire will go. I don't know if you have the 4 or 6 cylinder:

replace the cap and rotor yourself and see if that helps the problem before you buy a whole distributor. or if you cant do that, then get a second opinion.
