SOURCE: window off track driver side 1997 sebring

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

SOURCE: how to replace the front passenger side window motor on my 2006 Chrysler Sebring Touring 4 door

The motor and the window lift regulator car one part, so you will need to replace the window regulator assembly' below are the best instructions I can find for this job which is quite involved.Instructions

    • 1Remove the door panel by detaching the the door handle and control switches. Unscrew the screw holding the door handle in place using a Phillip's head screwdriver. Then lift the door handle and the control switches from the door and set them aside.
    • 2Lay the door panel removal tool along the edge of the window control plate. Use a flat head screwdriver to wedge in between the tool and the plate until it is free of the door panel.
      3

    • Disconnect the electrical clips holding the window plate into the door by squeezing the clips and pulling the wires apart.
    • 4Pry the door off with the removal tool until it comes loose and you can disconnect the wires running to the light on the inside of the door.
    • 5Reconnect the window controls to the wiring and lower the window. You should be able to see the mechanism holding the window in place through the service panel on the bottom of the door.
    • 6Open the panel holding the glass in place by releasing the nuts. You will now be able to push the glass off the regulator. Lower the glass so it is resting inside the door panel on the floor.
    • 7Remove the old regulator through the service panel. There is a small clip just below the mounting bolts on the regulator that is holding the head of the feed tape in place. Pull this clip until it is free of the regulator to release the tape.
    • 8Pull the old tape out. This is tape that feeds the regulator to move the window up and down. Measure your new tape against the old one and cut it to the correct length with diagonal cutters.
    • 9Insert the new feed tape into the top of the door panel starting with the end that looks like an eye. Make sure the teeth of the tape are facing out, towards the frame of the door panel.
    • 10Slide the feeder tape along the track inside the door panel until the eyelet end of the tape is visible through the service panel.
    • 11Place the new regulator over the eyelet of the tape. Secure it in place with the clip that came with the new regulator.
    • 12Lift the window off the floor of the door panel and slide it back into the mounting brace of the regulator. Secure the window by tightening the bolts on the regulator.
    • 13Remove the window controls from the wiring.
    • 14Reconnect the interior door light wires to the back of the door panel cover and press the door panel back onto the door.
    • 15Wire the window control panel to the electric wiring in the door and snap it into its place on the door panel.
    • 16Screw the door handle plate back in place

Most chryslers use a cable driven window motor and track system if it is a power window. Chances are the cable is bad and the window regulator assembly will have to be replaced. The door panel will have to be dissasemble to verify the problem

Passenger window on my 2001 chrysler sebring sedan will not go up or down. What could it be and does each window have a seperate fuse? Thank you

Have you had your windows down in a rain storm, ecspecially the driverside,if so you may need to replace the window controls on the driverside. One fuse should operate all window motors.if the fuse is good then it may be the motor on the passenger side went out and may just need replaced.

Passenger side power window problem

You say you replaced the switch? Make sure the glass is on track; if it skipped the track it won't open.
