Smelling ? raw gas or half burnt fuel, or oil smoke?

post what car does, good and bad.
i guess you have A/T tranny automatic,
does the transmission slip?
if it does, post that, if dont know, ask any mech, with ASE badge on the sleeve, diagnosis is first. some things like gas leaks are very dangeous.

Burning rubber smell after driving 5 miles in 2005 ford escape, also check engine light stays on

Could it be your clutch? It could be slipping., Revving higher than it should when changing gear? Put it in a higher gear when driving at a slow speed like 20 if it is revving when you put your foot to the floor but the speed is not matching it. The clutch could be on its way out.

My automatic Corolla AE110 vibrates when i stop in gear but it stops as soon as i start moving or when i put it in neutral. What can i do? Please help

It seems that your engine is tuned to very low idle revs, hitting the low resonant frequency of the car at tickover. When in neutral or revving up (moving), the engine stops shaking.
You can have it tuned to be slightly higher so it won't idle so bad, but you'll lose a little bit of fuel efficiency in the bargain.
Alternatively, just shift to neutral - free and easy.

Very slow to kick in to reverse, first and second gears accompanied by high revving sound. Not a smooth transition to other gears as well. High revving until going. Very high fuel consumption as well. Once...

it sounds like your transmission is slipping. they make this chemical you can get at a part store, its a transmission stabalizer. it should help with the grinding noise and transitions to the other gears. also give your truck a complete tune up (oil change, fuel and air filters, spark plugs etc.) it should help with the fuel consumptions.

1986 Nissan p/u d-21 is revving high in 1-3 gears (manual tr) Could it be crack in fuel line?

No you would smell the gas and the vehicle would not start if the fuel line was cracked. Throttle cable may need to be adjusted.

I was driving along one day when I tried to get on the highway, gave it gas, and it just revved real high and wouldn't shift into passing gear. The check engine light starting flashing.

Check the transmission fluid level see if it's low or burnt, if it's burnt it will smell slightly like onions and will be brownish red in color. even one pint low will cause it to not shift correctly. There are a lot of things that can cause this so try this first.

Check your automatic transmission fluid first, see if it is full and or smells burnt. If it is low that could be the problem, but if it smells burnt the transmission is going bad and should go in the shop.

Speed only gets up to 30mph!

Definitely sounds like a transmission issue. If the car is revving and you're only able to attain 30mph, the transmission is slipping and won't advance to 3rd gear. Check the automatic transmission fluid. If it's low, add fluid, if it's full but brown and/or gives off a burning smell, get the car checked out at a transmission shop or other garage that services transmissions. Hope this answers your question. Best of Luck!
