Which black wire is ground in 1999 ford explorer

I would assume all black wires are ground. All 3 three would ground at different locations ( Block, Frame, Battery)

Where is the ground wire of a 2005 chevy venture located?

Hi Tony:
All ground wires ultimately connect to the negative terminal of the battery.
If you look at the battery, the heary wire from the negative terminal will be connected to "ground", that being a bolt to the frame. (Often the alternator bracket)
The positive wires go to switches, solenoids, and fuse panels.
Power goes through those locations to various devices which are connected to "ground", thus completing the circuit.
There can be any number of ground wires since they are required at many locations to complete the curcuits.
Hope this helps.

Ground wire location

anything connected to anything metal on a car is a ground, all metal on a car is grounded unless the actual negative from the battery is failing to ground to the car, and that comes from the - side of the battery should be a black wire.

How to replace starter ram 50 2.6

You did not list the year but i will give you the most common way.
First thing is to remove the negative battery terminal, locate starter. the starter will be at the rear of the engine near front of the transmission. There will be a small wire, remove this wire from starter, this is the trigger wire which powers up the starter when key is in the crank position.
Next is the big cable size wire located next to small wire you just removed, this is constant battery voltage from battery. remove and set aside, with battery terminal removed from battery you will not need to worry about it shorting out against frame or other metal.
All wires are removed now. next will be to remove the bolts holding the starter on.this starter may have 2 or three bolts.remove them.note some cars run a ground battery cable to starter bolt, if your has that then take note of location and put ground back on same bolt .It does not really matter which starter bolt as they all will ground but the reach is why i say to just put back on same bolt.Next is remove the starter. hope this helps, good day

Have a 1997 Chevy Cavalier LS convertible. Won't start. Battery, alternator and starter all less than 4 months old. Was told might be the ground wire??? If possible or likely, where is it located?

Typically a grounding wire issue manifests itself as an temporary problem that comes and goes. Unless it has been having issues for awhile now and finally stopped starting all together.
So it is possible, it would be the large ground wire coming from the negative battery terminal. It should go straight to the frame or engine. Check to make sure the wire is securely attached to its mounting location and relatively free of corrosion.
If it is going to the frame check to make sure there is some kind of large ground wire that is also connecting the engine to the frame/battery some how and also that its connections on either side are solid.

I'm getting juice to the washer fluid pump but it doesn't run. I bypass the wiring harness and hook it directly to the battery and the pump runs. When I put a test light on it I'm getting juice to the...

For the circuit to operate, it must have both battery voltage and ground. If there is battery voltage at the connector, then hook your test light to the Positive side of the battery and check for ground on the opposite (Black) wire. The washer pump grounds at ground # G-201. It is located behind the right sie of the glove box. There is also a splice in this ground circuit. It is located inside the main instrument panel wiring harness about 7 inches from where the harness breaks out and goes to the radio connections. (It could be a bad/loose splice)

No power. Battery fully charged. There is a black box that hooks to the ground cable with two wires plugged in to it. If I play with that, move it and stuff it seems to restore power. What is the black box...

IF you have cleaned both ends of the battery ground wire - and a confident that it is well connected.... follow the black box wires to their ground connection....
the battery ground goes to the two small wires. Those two wires provide ground to the CCRM and PCM if they are not connected correctly they can kill the CCRM or PCM modules. From the described location, I believe you are looking at the CCRM-which manages the starter relay, air conditioner and lots of other stuff....Verify good connect of those wires to ground and I believe that your problem will be gone!!

Ground wiring

you have many grounded devices in your engine. the main ones are probably the battery ground and the alternator ground. Look at your battery, there is a Positive side (Red/Power) and there is a Negative side(Black/Ground). There is a short wire that runs from the Neg side to the wall of your engine area, it has a ring connected to a bolt. thats the ground wire. there is a similar wire on the neg side of your alternator which should be easy to find if you know what to look for.
