Need a new switch ,sounds like the contacts in the switch have arched across or the relay has arched across and stuck together. If you cant find fault or its expensive parts then reire feed to lights so they turn off with the key, just like a volvo

The majority of newer vehicles have delays and other sensors on headlights and interior accessories for safety and dead battery prevention. Your headlihjt can be so equiped to not turn off immediately to afford light in a dark garage or driveway. The law requires, in some states, use of high beams unless followiing another vehcle or in the case of on coming traffic. Play with the lights and see if these delays are integrated into your vehicle. when its dark, headlights on turn off vehicle and see if they go off after about 3-5 minutes. There's a 10 minute delay in my vehcle before the interior lights rurn off. Of course the headlight and parking light delays are a must have.. I have never used my headlight switch. I leave it on automatic and they takre care of themselves. There is a sensor on your dashboard that thinks for you. Now, I have to ck this but maybe the auto function is overridden wjen you manually tur them on with the switch. Ck it out. The more expensive the vehcle thr more perks they add to them. Not to worry, have fun. If you still aren't comfortable or they don't act automatic, then definately have it looked into. I recommend the dealer because they more than likely know exactly where the problem is and they stand behind the work.

Lots of stuff !
#1 If you can ,try to start it in neutral.
#2 In park hold the key so start and have an assistant rap the
starter motor lightly with a bar or whatever(if that works the brushes
in the starter are going, starter time)
#3 turn on the headlights ,have your assistant watch, they should
be bright, then turn the key,if the lights stay bright,it's a fault of the
starter or key/ignition system. If the lights go dim or out it's just
a battery terminal connection.
A few things to try anyway, good luck.

2006 Honda accord won't start, tried in neutral, lights are bright and don't dim when key is turned

Did you check to make sure you have spark, or if you have fuel pressure?

While driving down road the interior lights won't shut off. I am sure it is a matter of the wrong button or setting but not finding answer in owners manual.

Interior lights are usually activated manually by the dimmer switch. When you turn your dashboard lights all the way up to bright, there is usually a small click that will turn on the interior lights as well. Just slightly turn the dimmer down until the click shuts off the unwanted lights. Good luck

check to make sure yu have 12v at the battery, once you do turn the ignition to start, if nothing, check the fuse and relays that control ignition, if all is good then the click sound is coming from the starter, have the solenoid replace.
