I would think if it is a amber brake light its a sensor that read the rotor on your cv axle near behind the brake housing..

I have a 1997 honda odyesey with the abs light stays on what is the problem

This could be the cause of low brake fluid or that your foot is on the brake and it is indicating that the ABS is working.
But if that is not the case then, if it is a amber brake light ,then its a sensor that read the rotor on your cv axle near behind the brake housing.---------
But if that is not the case, then you will have to retrieve codes to check the exact cause of problem. To retrieve codes, please click the link below:----

I have an unidentified dash light coming on in my 1996 Honda Odyssey. It looks like a circle in parenthesis. What is it?

This light indicates an ABS fault.......(Anti-lock Braking System)....depending on the age of the vehicle i would give it a good high-pressure wash behind each wheel, as the wheel speed sensors sometimes get dirty and mucky and all it needs is a good clean, and then disconnect the battery to clear the codes and see how you go

1995 oddessy abs light is on

ABS failures are common in the Honda Accord and the Honda Odyssey, especially during the 1995-1997 years. You will find that your ABS light will come on intermittently and then go out. Finally, the light will come on and stay on until the system is replaced. Honda has been charging owners about $1500 to replace the modulator and accumulator. Honda maintains that this is not a problem that is widespread. The Honda owners' notes show that the problem usually happens betwee n 50,000 miles and 100,000 miles. There is a buzzing associated with the system failing, too.--------------
try bleeding the ABS brake pump and check. You must bleed the abs pump, then reset the abs computer by removing the ABSB2 fuse.--------------

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

My problem relates to the ABS brakes for a honda odyssey vehicle. I have noticed that the brakes light stays on all the time and although the brakes work, I've also noticed that the brakes gey soft at...

if the brakes light is on all the time, you may be low on brake fluid. Top up the brake master cylinder and see if the light goes out. If it doesn't go out, you may have air in your anti-lock brake system. This is very difficult to purge out and usually requires the dealer with a special brake system bleeding tool to do it.

1996 Honda Odyssey strange, intermittent ABS problem

If you are absolutely sure that the all the abs sensors are good. Then the only other factors are the abs unit itself and the abs computer. Please have the system checked with a a scanner to make sure. Remember the only way to an ABS light will reset is by driving the vehicle and if every component of the system is fine the light will go out. Because your light is on there is a problem in the system and your abs is not functioning when the light is ON .Good Luck
