Who to hook up spark plug wire to the plugs and disbuter

the 1990 had a coil pack if that's what you mean. I gave you a diagram for it. If you do have a distributer cap, that would be a 1989 engine and the firing order for that is 1-3-4-2. I hope this helps and good luck.

1990 Celebrity Wagon (Eurosport) 3.1 V6 Running fine. Drove approximately 8-10 miles to Walmart. Parked and was inside for 10 mins. When I came out it turned over great but would not start. Pulled...

The ignition module and the coil pack are not the same thing .. i think the coil pack is mounted on the front side of the engine nearest the radiator it might have three separate coils or they maybe all be in one pack . the ignition module is mounted under the coil pack . i would look at the ignition module 1st if the coil are separate and the crank sensor before i would replace the coils . a lot of these cars suffer from heat soak . which means when they get hot and some of the circuits open and cause a no spark condition . which is what the ignition module do a lot .

My 1990 geo prizm will turn over but won't start. I replaced the fuel pump but that didn't solve the problem. Help!!!

Being you replaced the fuel pump and that had no effect I would now check if you have spark if theres no spark check your distributor or coil packs if you have coil packs check the crankshaft position sensor that sensor if its bad could cause a no spark condition...

My 2002 Mits Galant has a #2 cylinder misfire. I have replaced the spark plugs(#2 contact broke off, cylinder was inspected and no problems). I then repaced the coil pack and still nothing has changed.

If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable).

Otherwise, check the coils (coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

Try it and keep us updated.

Not getting spark

Testing the coil packs.

1. Get an INSULATED wire and hook it to a ground on the car.
2. Get some one to help you
3. pull a spark plug wire off the coil
4. hold grounded wire close to, but not touching, the part where the spark plug wire connects
5. keep hands away from coil and have your helper turn the engine over ( start car and turn off)
6. if there was a spark between the wire and the coil pack it is good. if not, the coil pack needs replaced
7. replace the spark plug wire
8. test the rest

Mis fire on cyliner 1. Peugeot 206 1.4i Year 2000

you mite want to change the distributor cap or it might need a quick tune up
if the distributor is damaged then it wont always spark properly witch is why u will get full 200psi
if it is a continuous put put put then i would suggest getting it tuned
