Question about 1999 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
I bought a used C200. The body, suspension and general condition of the car is pretty decent. The only problem is ever since I got it it has had a delayed accelaration-ie when I press the throttle there is a delayed response. The engine is also rather loud - almost like a diesel car and lacks power. I previously drove a 1,600 cc Toyota and compared to the Toyota- the Mercedes is a total dissapointment. My local Mercedes dealer mentioned something about a vacum system- but they could not figure out how to resolve the problem. Is this the way all C200's are or there an actual problem with the car?
Hello, delayed acceleration, maybe coming from your transmission if you have auto. trans, you can try with other dealer maybe they have a trans. gauge to read the pressure of your trans, adjust if nec.better to have a record on maintenance, oil, fuel filter, trans.filter and brake fluid change if necessary or your control cable from engine to trans.maybe need to adjust,ty
