1999 Mercedes C200 delayed accelaration, less power and loud eng

I bought a used C200. The body, suspension and general condition of the car is pretty decent. The only problem is ever since I got it it has had a delayed accelaration-ie when I press the throttle there is a delayed response. The engine is also rather loud - almost like a diesel car and lacks power. I previously drove a 1,600 cc Toyota and compared to the Toyota- the Mercedes is a total dissapointment. My local Mercedes dealer mentioned something about a vacum system- but they could not figure out how to resolve the problem. Is this the way all C200's are or there an actual problem with the car?

Merc c200 steering wheel is hard when turning to the right, but softer when turnig to the left

firstly disconnect the track rod ends from suspension and turn each suspension unit on its own to check for tightness ,then lower front suspension onto some stands and try again ,if both sides still move freely then you need a new steering rack as the spool valve inside the rack is faulty

How to reduce noise of w124 engine

The 190 is not a 124 body style. There may be an engine issue if its too loud. With the hood pad in good condition and oil pad pan in good condition with no holes in the exhaust it should be pretty quiet.

Knocking underneath Mercedes C200 Estate, probably coming from the suspension, replaced Stabalizer link both sides only part cured the problem, Suspect it is further back ~middle to rear of car. All arms...

check springs they might look fine but if only one coil has snapped then it will sit where it usually does m8 any sharp edges can be a indication, i think this vehicle has air powered/aided suspension but not 100% sure could be worth checking with mercedes, thanks jezza
